The internal ACR Award for Networking

The chemical element carbon (carboneum in Latin) appears in nature both in pure form and also chemically bonded. On account of its particular electron configuration (half-filled L shell) it has the ability to form complex molecules and has the greatest variety of chemical compounds of all chemical elements.

For this reason – its huge bonding ability – the element is the inspiration for the internal award at ACR. This is because the ability to bond, to exchange and to create networks is the requirement for good cooperation and excellent work results.

Every year ACR awards the “Carbonium” to those members who, in the last year, did the most for networking within the association and for the communication of the ACR umbrella brand to people outside ACR. For the 2010 reporting year Bautechnisches Institut Linz (BTI) finished in first place for the “Carbonium”, while in 2009 it was ZFE Graz.

The assessment criteria include written press releases, newsletters, folders and media reports, participation in ACR events, presenting ACR at external events and trade fairs, actions such as the “ACR staff day”, etc.
