How to reach us
access by public transport from the center of Vienna
- underground U4, get off at "Friedensbrücke"
- change to tram No. 5 or 33, which stop right in front of The House of Research
- get off at "Lazarettgasse"
access by public transport from the airport
- take the S-Bahn or the City-Airport Train to Wien-Mitte
- change to underground U4 bound for Heiligenstadt
- get off at "Friedensbrücke" and change to No. 5 tram bound for Westbahnhof
- get off at "Lazarettgasse"
access by public transport from Westbahnhof railway station
- tram No. 5 bound for Praterstern-Wien Nord; get off at the "Lazarettgasse" stop
Parking in Vienna
The old city of Vienna and the surrounding districts (1 to 9 and 20) are pay & display short stay parking zones. When you park here you need a valid parking permit behind your windscreen from the first minute of your stay. The signs indicating the short stay parking zones are only posted where you enter these districts. In shopping streets it is necessary to watch for signs indicating exceptions to days on which zones apply and maximum length of stay. Parking permits are available from most tobacconists and banks, from railway stations and Vienna Lines ticket offices.
